Description
Continental Hydraulics PVX series vane pumps are hydraulically controlled by means of compensating pistons acting on a cam ring. This makes them extremely flexible and allows for a wide range of control options.
Thanks to their large pumping chambers and advanced distribution plate design, these pumps achieve smooth flow and stable pressure, even with degraded working fluid quality.
Main advantages of Continental PVX pumps:
Fast response: switch-off time from 20 ms, switch-on from 50 ms
High reliability: fewer moving parts than other pump types
High volumetric and overall efficiency: up to 94%, thanks to automatic compensation of vane wear
Very low noise: up to 67 dBA at 3000 PSI (210 bar)
Minimal pressure and flow pulsations: low vibrations and hydropulsations due to rotary motion without return stroke
Hydrodynamic plain bearings: almost no contact wear, no limited B10 bearing life as with piston or gear pumps
Wide range of volumetric flows with high performance
Continuous operation at medium pressures up to 3000 PSI / 210 bar
Tandem design possible
